Application Process for TU Ilmenau​

Steps to apply for degree courses in TU Ilmenau include:

Create Account

1. If you are new applicant then you have to create an account on their online portal

2. After creating an account you will be getting a ‘username and password’ via email from the university

3. Check your email for username and password, there will be one link in the mail, click on that link

Change Password

1. After clicking on that link, you will be directed to this page, to change your password

2. Enter your ‘new password’, and click on ‘Submit’


1. Next, you need to log in with your username and new password. Click on ‘Log in’

Desired Degree

1. Read the important notes they have given on the top of the pages and start filling form

2. In this section, you need to fill your aimed degree from drop-down menu

3. Next, if you were studied before to this university, select yes or else no from the drop-down menu

4. Select your appropriate group from a drop-down menu, For international student have to select ‘G3’ group. Click on ‘Save’

Find Course

1. Here you need to find the courses offered by the university and select the course that you are interested to apply

2. From the drop-down menu, there is a list of courses, choose anyone from that list and click on ‘Search’

3. You will get the result for your search, regarding semester details, subject taught in which language and aptitude test required or not. Click on ‘Apply’

Application Process

1. After selecting the course, from here the process starts, now you will get your ‘application tracking number’, use this application tracking number for further communication


1. Read carefully the introduction section and click on ‘Entry’ column. Click on ‘Next’ button

Enrolment Status​

  • 1. Select your appropriate category from drop-down menu and click on 'Next'

Personal Details

  • 1. Fill your personal details and click on 'Next'

Academic Details

  • 1. Fill your school leaving certificate details and click on 'Next'
  • 1. In this section you have to fill, how many degree you have studied till now and click on 'Next'
  • Here you need to fill your previously studied Bachelor degree details and click on 'Next'
  • 1. Fill your 'language skills' details, select an appropriate language proficiency level from drop-down menu and click on 'Next'

Documents Upload

  • 1. In this section you have to upload all the required documents as mentioned by university
  • 2. The mandatory documents you have to upload includes :
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Copy of your personal identity card
  • Form intake
  • Leaving certificate
  • APS certificate
  • Transcript of records
  • Degree certificate
  • Academic self reporting
  • English language certificate

Terms and Conditions

  • 1. Accept the confirmation of acceptance and conditions and click on 'Next' button.
