About
Goethe University is offering scholarships for all consecutive master’s programme for applicants who have completed degree from a university outside of Germany. It provides scholarship more than 20 masters programmes per year with monthly stipend for the standard period of study in a Master programme at Goethe-University. The purpose of the scholarship is to promote students academic career and support during their master’s studies. Which makes students involvement in existing research projects and studies in researcher and specialist in your field.
Eligibility
- All applicants need to have completed at least two thirds of their bachelor’s degree (or another equivalent or higher degree) at a university outside of Germany with transcript of records or if you have completed your master outside of Germany then also you can apply for Scholarship.
- You can apply for up to three degree programmes. However, you are only allowed to apply for one relevant research unit in connection with your scholarship application.

- A monthly scholarship amount of 1,000€ for the standard period of a master’s programme at Goethe-University (generally 2 years).

Application Requiremnet
- Two letters of recommendation from professors or other academic staff, stating your excellent or above average performance.
- A letter of motivation outlining your interest in the programme and demonstrating your academic ability as well as your principle research interest.
- Proof of proficiency in German/English depending on the language of instruction of the Master‘s course.
- A comprehensive CV in tabular form.
Application timeline
- The annual application period for the scholarship starts from 1st May and ends with the respective deadline for the chosen programme.
- You should submit your application for the degree programme and for the scholarship at the same time.
Evaluation process
- Complete the online-application procedure and upload documents then send to the Berlin address.
- University will conduct a video interview in August for the scholarship programme.
- You will be informed by the end of September if your application was successful.
How to Apply
- As the scholarship application is related to your master programme so first you have to select your desire programme wheather is can be direct application or via uni-assist. In given link  you will find a short overview of the study programme and the application.Â
- For programmes that require uni-assist, the scholarship application is found within the master's programme application. All required documents for the scholarship application must be submitted online. No hard copies required. Always give your application number (which you will receive in an e-mail from uni-assist) when sending your documents by post.
- For programmes that require you to apply directly through their department, you can submit your scholarship application along with your master's programme application to the department. However, please make sure to inform yourself by visiting the programme's webpage to know for sure if they have specific instructions for the scholarship application.
- If you have already applied for a master's degree programmes and the application deadline has not passed yet, you may log back into your master’s programmes application account on the Online Application Portal website and opt to additionally apply for the Goethe Goes Global scholarship.
Note: Most of the scholarship application are via uni assist except GSEFM (Graduate school of Ecnomic,Finance and managemnt).
