Bachelor
The fundamental requirement for admission to the bachelor’s degree programme at the University of Applied Sciences Europe is a higher education entrance qualification, which you will have achieved with your high school diploma or equivalent. You may also be accepted on the grounds of your vocational training and an additional three years of occupational experience (BerlHG § 11). University of Applied Sciences Europe will review your details and let you know immediately upon receiving your application whether you meet the requirements for acceptance to the programme. Furthermore, all University of Applied Sciences Europe applicants undergo a portfolio review and a personal interview.
Master
The fundamental terms of admission for the master’s degree programme at our university are a bachelor’s degree with 210 ECTS credits. Should this be in a non-design subject, University of Applied Sciences Europe will review the artistic work you’ve submitted to decide whether you can be accepted. If you have a B.A. degree with 180 ECTS credits, you will be able to make up the missing credits in the first semester at University of Applied Sciences Europe. Following submission of all relevant documents, we will check these and immediately inform you as to whether you meet the requirements for acceptance. Furthermore, all our applicants undergo a portfolio review and a personal interview.
- University of Applied Sciences Europe is a state-accredited, private institution that was founded in 2006 in Berlin. Since 2018, the University of Applied Sciences Europe has been part of the Global University Systems. The university offers practical, contemporary, and international-centered bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes. Several majors (Communication Design, Photography, and the master’s major of Media Spaces) are taught in English.
- The digitalization of media has radically changed the demands made of a designer over the past years. Content for television must be designed differently to that for the Internet, print media, or mobile media. A key competence lies today in the ability to structure complex content and to create it in an attractive fashion. This makes it absolutely necessary to be able to utilize the abundance of visual and picture-based means of expression in the illustration of content – intelligently and at the highest technological level.
The study programme starts every winter semester. Seminars begin at the beginning of October.
