Uni-Assist or the "University Application Service for International Students" processes applications from international students on behalf of its member universities. In this blog, you will get to know the step-by-step procedure for filling the uni-assist form and uploading the documents.

Applicant Information
- In the third page of the uni-assist form, answer the questions “Are you married to a citizen of the European Union?” and “In which language would you like to be contacted?”
- You can skip the next two questions if you are not applying for DoSV courses.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Enter your uni-assist password.
- Click on Send applicant information.

Educational History
- In this section, you have to provide details about your educational history.
- From the dropdown menu, choose the country where you have completed your school education.
- Choose the name of your high school certificate. If your certificate name is not listed, check the “Other” box below the dropdown.
- The next question about studienkolleg applies to only students from Germany, Switzerland and Austria who attended a preparatory school.
- Click no if you have not attended a preparatory school in one of these countries.
- Next fill in the details of your college education – the country, university, degree and subject name.
- Choose Yes or No for entering TestAS data.

Documents Uploading
- ‘My Documents’ screen appears. It is enough to upload the documents once for all the universities you are applying to through uni-assist. However, the SOP has to be different for each university. So you have to upload a separate SOP for each university.
- CV, SOP, LOR, college degree certificate, transcripts, secondary school and higher secondary school marksheets, work experience certificate, offer letter, extracurricular certificates, language proficiency certificate, and a copy of your passport are mandatory documents. There could be other documents like project reports that can be required for specific courses.
- Read the 4 instructions given in this page carefully before uploading the documents.
- Click on Select and open the file to be uploaded
- From the Choose category dropdown on the right side, choose an appropriate category for the documents. For documents like LOR and project reports that do not have a separate category, you can choose ‘other’.
- Give an appropriate and relevant name for your file. For example, if the file is the SOP for Paderborn university you can name it SOP_Paderborn for clarity.
- Click on the upload file button.
- After the successful upload of your file, it shows the list of files you have uploaded.

Basic Form Filling
- Fill the basic details such as your residency address, mobile number or landline number then click on continue button
- Next basic question is where you have completed the secondary school, so choose your country where u have completed the secondary high school then click on continue button
- Give the correct completion date of your secondary high school, then choose the name of your certificate if it is not there then fill manually name of certificate as shown in above image

Basic Question of your Higher Studies
- Next question is have you previously studied at university, if yes click on yes button or if no click on no button, again click on continue button
- Next question is to choose your country where u have completed your higher education, then click on continue button
- Fill out your university details, then click on continue buttton

Documents Uploading
- Now you need to upload all the documents in the uploading section once(except SOP, you should write a separate one for all University/courses you apply for) for all the universities.
- Upload all the documents you have got - starting from high school marksheet, passing certificates, college transcript, degree certificate, experience Letters, LOR (college and work place ), special achievement certificate, passport copy, CV, language certificate, IELTS ,SOP (a separate one for each course you are applying)
- Go to upload and manage files option which is on left sidebar as shown in above first image
- Click on upload file button, select a appropriate category for your document then give a file or document name
- Click on choose file button to upload your document or file, then click on upload button
- After successful upload of your file, it shows the list of files you have uploaded as shown in third image
