Courses in African, American, and Economic History are held in English. All other courses are taught in German: You can take exams and write your thesis in German, English or French.
Proof of German language at A1 level has to be shown by the end of the first semester.
Your curriculum vitae CV (in table form, 1 page, including a recent photo)
a Bachelor's degree in History with the equivalent of the German grade 2.0 or a similar degree (six semesters of study) in a related field, such as the humanities, economics or political studies. You need to have earned at least 60 ECTS in courses on history (final degree 2.0 or better).
Applicants are required to have level B1 to B2 in the German language (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). If they take courses in English, they are required to have level B1 to B2 in English.
