VO was an Indian guy.
He gave me DD form and Documents checklist. I was asked to form two sets of documents according to the checklist.
Original documents were to be kept separately. For financial documents I had submitted ITR, Form 16, PPF balance statement, Kotak Mahindra blocked account statement and Education loan sanction letter. But he denied Form 16 and asked me to give other mentioned documents and salary account statement of my father.
So literally keep everything. EVERYTHING.
One more thing-
Mine was an unusual case as my hometown is in Pune but I graduated (this year only) from NIT Jamshedpur, Jharkhand which comes under Kolkata consulate. So I was asked by VFS guys that I should apply to Kolkata consulate.
Today during my interview he told me that you aren’t eligible for this consulate go and apply to Mumbai consulate as my graduation now is finished. So I showed him my ID card stating that it is valid till 31st July. After that, he accepted my application.
So people with cases like me, keep every paper with you which is even slightly related to your college, education and work experience.
